Alternatives to Nutramigan for 10 month old...need info by tomorrow for GP

Well ds saw specialist today at allergy clinic about other allergies and said that the diarrhea and vomiting he has been having since Thursday are down to a sudden milk allergy. Not quite sure how milk allergy can suddenly start at 10 months though!!

He wanted me to put him on soya but not happy with that at moment..to many unknowns.

He gave us Nutramigan but its horrible and ds won't take it.

He will take oat milk but that doesn't have enough surely for a babies needs.

So are there any nicer alternatives that a 10 month old might like??

Should have said that going to GP tomorrow to ask for alternative and to find out if suddenly allergy can happen.

You can try neocate, but it's not much nicer.

Our consultant said to mix the nutramigen in with nesquik flavouring if the wouldn't take it straight. We gt round it by gradually mixing in more and more with ebm, don't know if that could work for you?

No, oat milk isn't enough for a sole milk source at this age, it needs to be a type of formula. At a push you could go for alpro age 1 milk, but that wouldn't work if you are worried about soya allergy.

Goats milk?? It can be quite difficult to get a LO of 10 months to take an alternative milk.
Any chance you could use a lactose free formula?

My little baoy was alergig too so he drank baby formua goats milk - called "nanny" When I weaned him. He can drink cows milk now though!

Oh and cow and gate pepti junior. Can personally recommend aptamil pepti though!

The specialist said to mix it with his formula but surely will just be sick!!

Might try the nesquick if nothing else works.

Can't use lactose free milk as the milk protein he is allergic to not the lactose.

Is Aptamil Pepti any better?

It's the least foul tasting of the lot from what I've read. It doesn't smell pleasant but it's not as bad as the others. I found my dd wouldn't take it cold though u have to hear it up probably slightly more than u would any other milk. My dd was much younger when she was put into it but I had no trouble switching from the other formula. Gotta be worth a shot.

No, no, not goats milk! Same protein as cows (and sheep). Absolutely unsuitable for cmp allergy sufferers.
