Hi all. My dd started nursery in September and about a week in developed what we thought was a cold, but this has lingered since, at times worse, but always there. We''ve been to the GO a number of times, she had an antibiotic before Christmas, which worked for about 2 days, then back to the same again. I started her on zirtek on whim a few days ago and that has made some difference but is not a long term solution. anyone like to hazard a guess? asthma? allergies?

The Asthma UK Adviceline is available 9-5 Mon-Fri, free from BT landline. 0800 121 62 44

"...You can call us with any concerns you may have about asthma. We welcome any enquiry, no matter how big or small. We receive queries about what asthma is and what causes it, triggers, symptoms, treatments and inhaler devices. We're also often asked about allergies, exercise, diet, housing location and many other concerns that people have about asthma.

We can listen to your concerns, answer your questions and offer a sympathetic ear. ..."

Might be an idea to have a chat with one of their asthma nurses and then go back to GP to see if you can get to the bottom of the constant coughing.

Super advice, thank you very much. I contacted them and outlined the symptoms and they advised that I should get back to the GP as it sounds as if it probably is asthma. Thank you Thanks
