SLIT and sore mouth

Hi. DS is taking Grazax for hayfever. I understand that he can't take the medication if he has had a tooth extracted for 7 days. He has just tumbled on the floor and the inside of his lip has cut and bled. Does anyone know why you shouldn't take SLIT medication if you have a sore mouth? Do you think it will be ok to give it to him later? No one to ask at St Thomas' today so a bit unsure.

I don't know either, but could it be something to do with the medication not being supposed to get absorbed directly into the bloodstream through a cut or abrasion in the mouth?
