Wheezy chest & wine!

I always seem to get a slight wheezy chest and need my inhaler (mild asthma) when I have wine. Is this normal? Or an allergy/reaction? If so what would I be reacting

I get this too, went on a hen night and one of the other hens gave me an anti-allergy tablet as she has always had the same problem. It was amazing! I think half my normal 'hangover' is just allergy.

Apparently it's surprisingly common.

Wine contains sulphites which is quite a common allergen so could be that.
