6 year old constant runny nose

6 year old DDs nose never stops running she can wake in the night because she needs to wipe it as soon as she wakes up in the morning she starts sneezing and the runny nose starts. Just say with her for a bit while she was going to sleep all I could hear was her sniffing. I don't know what to try I don't know if it is an allergy haven't taken her to the doctors but think I'm going to. Help

Take her to the GP - ask for an allergy referral - is the stuff clear or coloured/gunky. AFAIK if it is clear it is more likely to be an allergy.
