cradle cap related to excema?

my dd has excema and HAD cradle cap when 3 months or so but used a shampoo and aveno on scalp and it went after a month or so. she developed excema around the same time and this has got progressively worse and now at 8 months control with occasional steriod use and emolliante. but just noticed the first signs of cradle cap again after 5 months of not having itShock

does this mean that now she has excema on skin that her cradle cap is gonna come back in full force or is it unrelated?

should i just treat as before or is this another type because she is now older?

I don't know for sure, but I would say it's a bit late for craddle cap (especially if it has already gone once). Deal with it as if it were eczema: if she doesn't has much hair yet, apply Aveeno sparingly. Steroids only on raised flares.

looks like cradle cap, i mean yelowy scales.

also just tried to wash her hair with the same cradle cap shampoo that i used when she was 3 months old (Capsacal..i think its called) and her face went compltely red with irritation when the soapy water touched. this didn't happen when she was a newborn, but then her excema wasn't on her face when she was a newborn

could she now have more sensitive skin because of use of steroidsSad and excema perhaps?

hello yentil... do you brush your babys hair with one of those soft baby brushes.. it should stimulate the blood supply and stop the build up of these cells... once you've got rid of the cradle cap keep on brushing her hair to keep it free..
this should work....
