I can't use 'always' sanitary towels they make me itch; I don't know if it's the cover or if they have gel or what

Are there any less treated ones I could try?

The old fashioned thicker ones tend to be much better for this, and its not that uncommon.

Some kinds of towels make me itch too.

I use Asdas own brand with wings and they seem to be ok.

OHforDUCKScake · 26/09/2012 10:08

Use the Natural ones from waitrose or health food shops. Those plastic ones are awful.

Thanks for the suggestions

I used to get this with own brand tampons. Expensive taste my fanjo Grin

eragon · 26/09/2012 20:54

its because they are super absorbant and a girl needs to be moist down below. they suck up everything and then you dry out and itch.

am sure its a common problem. i certainly hop around a little every month !

I never got on with 'always', too plastic, horrible... I tended to use bodyform, kotex or supermarket own brand, ones that feel like soft cottony. Not had a period for over two yrs though so its a distant memory at the moment!

Actually I have this too. I use aldi own brand. Wax also told it was because if absorbency causing drying.
