Dairy & Egg Free Pizza Express pudding!

Just thought I'd share this with you all - Pizza Express now do a fantastic raspberry sorbet that is dairy/egg/nut free. DS was in seventh heaven on Saturday night when he realised he could have a proper pudding rather than me stealthily giving him a few Haribo from my handbag....

Oh that is great news - already loved Pizza Express for being clear about their ingredients and catering for allergies ok (for a pizza place!). Thanks for letting us know. DS has dairy, egg and nut allergy so brilliant for us.

So many times there isn't anything suitable and kitchens for some reason can not even provide a bit of fruit when asked, even though they seem to garnish other puds with it.

Brilliant - thank you :)

Do they still do those fabulous cinnamony apricots in syrup?

Bilbomum · 24/09/2012 14:12

Ooo, that's interesting babybarrister. Tell them their product is brilliant from me! I've read about them before but sadly we're not in London to try it out. I was amazed when I tasted it, much tastier and less watery than most other sorbets I've tried. DS wolfed it down Smile

But surely theres nothing for them to eat before the pudding?

We still fear the 'eating out' thing so Im willing to learn!

Ohforducks - DS is very happy with plain dough balls and pizza with no cheese. He's severely allergic to CMP; eggs; nuts and sesame and we've never had a problem or sign of any reaction. We don't risk it in many places but Pizza Express & Wagamamas have always been great. We're usually ok in most traditional fish & chip places as well (we are Oop North though so not sure about the south). McDonalds is always good for emergency situations when out and about.

Babybarrister - I'll make sure I drop the Odonnos a line.

OHforDUCKScake · 25/09/2012 12:24

OH MY GOD THERES ONE UP THE ROAD FROM ME!

harverina · 26/09/2012 18:54

Oh this is fab, had no idea pizza express were good with allergies. We have only ever tried a traditional fish and chip restaurant and that was before my DD's nut allergy was diagnosed.

And of course Mcdonalds too, which is great.

littleducks · 26/09/2012 18:55

I have no allergies, but the sorbet is yummy!!!

Maz007 · 26/09/2012 22:42

Good to hear Wagamama is potentially ok for egg-free diet... we used to go there when DS was small (CMPA) and he was fine with lots of stuff but had assumed that egg would be in most things so hadnt even thought to try it with DD. exciting!

Bilbomum · 27/09/2012 09:50

Yes, have a try Maz. DS always has the chicken breast with some kind of sauce from the kids menu it should come with egg noodles but if you explain they can serve it with udon instead. They have quite an extensive allergy book available for you to look at so you can double check before you order. They do lovely fruit lollies for pud as well.

DS also sesame allergic and I was a touch nervous at first but we've eaten there quite a bit now with no problems. I've only stuck to the one meal though and the restaurant is 2 minutes away from a large teaching hospital Grin
