Reaction to soya

I'm EBFibg 5 month old DS who has a suspected soya & dairy allergy/Intolerance. Was advised to reintroduce & see what happens. He reacted, so I stopped after 2 days. This was a week ago.

He seems to be getting worse symptom wise & has 6-7 patches of eczema, his reflux is really bad again, his tummy is upset etc.

Is there anything I can do to help him? I know it takes 4 weeks for the allergen to go, can I speed this up? I just feel so bad got him. He was doing so great finally & is now in pain.

Not really :( Just ride it out. It should calm down again soon (is he on meds for reflux?). My two DC react(ed) to both dairy and soya - I'm convinced that soya is the work of the devil as it's worse. My oldest is nearly 3 and has finally outgrown the worst thank goodness but DD (9months) still suffers :(

I think it is too iggly. Sorry your LO's have problems too. Did/do you just keep trying them with it every few months? Has put me off now. Oddly I wasn't even sure me excluding them was making a difference.

He's on ranitadine but is still crying out in pain at night (cot's raised & all that). Feeding is difficult again as he keeps pulling off, which is giving him wind & making it worse. He was just starting to chub up after dropping to the 9th percentile.

Really feel like we have regressed after doing so well. Hopefully it will pass through quickly. I feel awful for him.

I did a bit of reading and decided not to reintroduce either until 12 months, 18 months, 24 months etc. DS was better by 18 months (less reactions) and much better by 2. So with dd not bothering until she's 12 months. Definitely none directly either (she's on solids now).

To complicate things, I also have an over active letdown so milk comes shooting out which also gives dd wind especially after a growth spurt. Can't win!!
