Hi all, im at my witts end with everything.
quicky run down of my situation..

i have a 16 week old lb who had reflux from about 4 weeks old.
he would spit up alot and up 4 hours after feeds, he wouldnt be able to lie on his back, would nap for 5mins, scream after feeds ect.
had gaviscon and made him worse, went to cow and gate comfort and virtually stopped the sickness- hurrah :D
he turned into more of a silent refluxer and would battle once i took the bottle off him.
dr prescribed ranitidine and it worked a treat :)
no more screaming after feeds, would lie flat and seemed a happy chappy,
the ranitidine worked up until 11 weeks and the screaming returned as did a lot of sickness but he was fine in every other aspect.
the dr has now prescribed me cow and gate pepti jnr but since hes been on it hes been quite sicky but no more than before.
his other symptoms are eczema (but clearing up with cream before trying the milk :S), wheezing, phlemy, sick up to 4 hours later, screams once finished eating.
my question is does this sound like cmpi or reflux.
how will i no if its cmpi or reflux
im lucky hes not severe as what ive read as he drinks all his bottles and is content during the day its just after mealtimes is the issue.
when will this end :(

sorry for the rant but im feeling helpless.

Could be a combination of the 2. My Ds had both. He screamed and was sick pretty much all day til 4 months when we switched to nutramigen. Then he continued being sick and sick and sick til about 8 months. He was a happy chucker though - the cmp had been irritating him on the way up. Now hes nearly one and sick if he has cows milk but otherwise fine

I know what torture ut is though. Spent my maternity leave covered in puke with a baby who cried non stop. Ask for a referral to a paediatric gastroenterologist. Mine was great and understood how hard it was.

Just remember its not forever. They will grow out of it x
