neocate and colic/constipation

hello im new to here. my 4 month old son was put on neocate at 2.5 months but it is giving him terrible colic and constipation. the doctor told us to water the formula down e.g. 5 oz water to 4 scoops but the health visitor told us not to do this and just offer him cooled boiled water between feeds. we have been trying the water for 3 weeks now and he is a bit better but not brilliant. anyone have any tips

it happend to my daughter when she was little.i changed the formula.aptamil was great for her. try that maybe it works!!

sheragim - i can't change his formula as he is on neocate for medical reasons

There are other elemental formulas you can try such as Nutramigen AA if Neocate is causing problems.
