Hi

My DD is now 4 and has been dairy, soya, oats and barley intolerant since 8 months (well we discovered it then iyswim).

She was on neonate until about 4 months ago but is now tolerating lacto free milk to drink.

I have recently begun to introduce dairy only to her diet very slowly and whilst her tummy and skin seem to be ok with very small amounts, her behaviour is markedly different. Biting me, very aggressive and just generally very angry.

Is this likely to be the dairy and has anyone come across this before??

Not sure, but interested too, so bumping for you :)

I've heard this but for the life of me cannot remember where. I think it was something about the dairy etc still gives low level discomfort so child behaves badly as it makes them grumpy.

Cut it out again and see what happens.

Thanks Smile

I have cut it out as from today and she has been much better Shock

I guess I was just wondering if others have encountered this. You are probably right on the low level discomfort iggly will see how she gets on over the next few days....

Although I can't answer for the behavioural aspect I've had to give up dairy for both of my breastfed babies and know it can take up to six weeks to be fully out of the system. So it might not be an immediate improvement (but hopefully will :)).
