Epipen Advice - Nut Allergies

Hi there

my dd was diagnosed last year as having nut allergies following a reaction to peanut. Initially she was prescribed 2 epipens by the dr and then later another 2 by the allergist at the hospital so that she could have 2 for home and 2 to keep at school. These pens exp at the end of this month. I contacted the dr about this and I've just been to pick up the new prescription from the chemist - there are 2 that exp 12/12. The other 2 I guess are meant to come from the hospital. Only problems is my dd's next appt at the hospital for her annual skin prick test is not until mid sept and of course she'll be back to school by then. I've tried to get an earlier appt but nothing doing. What do I do about getting another 2 epipens for school? Do I just wait it out, will the old epipens still be ok? Does anyone have any experience of this?
