CMP & egg allergy - what can I use to stick breadcrumbs to fishcakes etc?

Simple as that really! DS is 13 months and now completely refusing to be spoon fed but am running out of options! Have seen a few nice ideas for fishcakes, little balls etc but they all require dipped in egg before rolling in breadcrumbs. Any idea what else might make the crumbs stick? Thanks in advance!

Hi
My daughter can't eat egg but I do loads of potato cakes with hidden nutritious stuff in (!) and to make a breadcrumb equivalent we use mashed up cornflakes. The kids love it and the cornflakes stick really well without any egg or substitutes. Put 'em in a plastic sandwich bag and roll over with a rolling pin to mash them up - that's the cornflakes, I mean.
