What's biting?

my daughter and I both have itchy welts appearing over the last few days ... We don't have any pets, could anyone make a guess at what may be eating us. My husband and son don't have a mark on them.thanks

My mother knew that the dogs had picked up fleas as she got bitten - and my father and I would be bite free. in the summer its sometimes possible for eg gardens to have fleas in them due to high populations of local cats etc - fleas tend to go where you have close fitting clothing - eg waistband.

Have you been out at all? Could it be something in the garden / park?
