Insect repellent for eczema sufferer

We are going camping in Italy next week and I think we will need something to keep the bugs away. DD's eczema is exacerbated by all sorts of things (detergents, sun cream, wearing tights etc) so I am really reluctant to use a regular insect repellent on her skin.

Any suggestions for what I can use would be graefully received.

Thanks!

PS. As we're camping we will have no power supply for one of those plug-in things!

lavender essential oil deters some bugs, can you sprinkle some on her clothes at all?

You can get cloths which deter mosquitos, which can be tied around their neck as a sort of scarf. Personally, I make sure my 2 are covered in long shirts and trousers as the repellant tends to sting any scratchy bits they have, with some kid-friendly repellant on their feet.

We're going camping too, I was planning on putting the repelant all over me (im often holding him he cant walk yet) and spraying his clothes a little so its not on his skin. It might help.
