Thank you for posting this - I checked recently so would not have checked again for a while! I have been trying to get them since DS1 started school in Sept! I am hoping it will make a difference as I feel his legs have been worse since starting school.

thank you, much appreciated. Gave up looking a very long time ago

Thank you for this, have just ordered some for DS1 whose legs are awful at the moment. Shame they don't have them in navy as that's his uniform colour but I'll just have to explain to the school that I can't get any in that colour.

yeah we need navy too :(

trixymalixy · 16/05/2012 21:40

Thanks! I have just ordered some.

Thisisyesterday I had a chat with DS1's teacher today and explained that I could only get cotton trousers in grey or black so I would be sending him in these instead of navy. She said it was fine. If you download the Govt's guidance on uniform and the Disability Discrimination Act here then they clearly state that schools should make reasonable allowances eg when skin conditions mean children cannot wear certain fabrics.

Annoyingly though M&S are out of stock in loads of sizes - think I got the last size 4 black trousers. Hope they restock at some point.

i can begin to explain how angry i am about the school uniform requirements... the trousers are impossible to find in cotton .. and even the ones that are available are very heavy and don't let the skin breath... my son only has eczema during school year, because so called healthy meals have desert option every day, it is widely believed that sweeteners are healthier than surer in squash... and why give kids squash at all what is wrong with water and milk??

the shoes they are required to were, for heath and safety apparently, give my some athletes foot because the classrooms are to hot to were any cloths at all:(

to add insult to injury class teacher pointed out directly to my four year old in front of all his friends that his shorts are wrong color of gray... according to my son this was not the first time and it makes him embarrassed(not the shorts put public confrontation embarrassed him)

makes me soo sad ;(
