Hi!
James Garner of the Royal Free Hospital asked me to pass this onto everyone:

The Royal Free will be doing the allergy show again this year at Olympia and as we are exhibitors we have unlimited free tickets (usually £12) so please use this link to gain free passes:

www.allergyshow.co.uk/go/royalfreehospital

They would be really pleased if you stopped by to say hello! From what I understand the Royal Free commits to these events to add some balance to some of the more 'creative' allergy advisors and to offer really solid advice. Brilliant stuff eh!

AND: the Royal Free are very much aware of the difficulties that having an allergic child presents and would like to offer information and support by hosting an allergy conference for parents. This will be held on Saturday 15th September 10-12.30 at the Royal Free Hospital in North London. James is putting together the conference programme and would like to hear from you what you would like the conference to cover. He has confirmed that the programme will certainly include lots of opportunity for question/answers from the consultants etc. So please do contact James directly with any ideas - [email protected].

many thanks to you all and to the Royal Free!
tx

Should we have a MN'ers lunch after the September conference? Be lovely to meet you all!

And I reckon it would be great to get a consultant talking on:

  • medical innovation on allergy control (the latest on immunotherapy and other treatments)
  • a session on what are allergies and why is this generation so prone
  • a simple explaination of how allergy tests differ and work
  • a session on prevention and management of allergic reactions anything else? tx

If a MM meeting is organised i would love to come!

this year has been pretty hellish with regard to allergies!

CasaBevron · 28/04/2012 19:06

This sounds like a fantastic event. I know its a lot of work, but if anyone was able to give a summary of any useful info after it happens I'm sure it would be gratefully received by all of us who are a bit too far away to make it...

CasaBevron · 28/04/2012 19:07

The conference I mean, not the allergy show Confused

ChocaMum · 29/04/2012 11:00

I can't make it to the allergy show but the conference sounds great, and an MN get together sounds like just what I need!

Happy to organise a lunch - there are many lovely pubs nearby!
Could we all go child-less?

i am ok to go child-less ( get hubs to work at home if poss , which is needed still with our teen!)

ChocaMum · 10/05/2012 19:46

I am happy to go child-less too, much easier if we are going to be eating anyway. It's a Saturday so hopefully dh can cope with true LO's!

Sounds good - I'll post details once the Royal Free have sorted the event content. DO feedback your ideas to James, he'd really like it to be our event!
thanks!
