My son is 18months and had always had very frequent loose stools. At 12m we figured out he was lactose intolerant and when we switched to lactofree milk he was a million times better. Recently though he has went back to way he was before- loose (absolutely stinking!) stools and he's very grumpy and irritable. I was wondering know about wheat intolerance or similar? Or simply if i'm giving him too much fibre? He gets weetabix, shreddies or raisin wheats most mornings.

yes, too much fibre, fruit juices and too little fat can all contribute

If too much fibre is the case what are good breakfast cereals to give him? Also is peanut butter good or bad to put on his toast?

On one site I found it suggested lower fibre cereals such as cornflakes or rice crispies. It also suggested white bread instead of wholemeal.
