Baby Shampoo

I have eczema around my eyes. My health professional told me to bath my eyes daily with Johnsons Baby Shampoo but the condition worsened. I have now been advised by a herbalist that the shampoo contains sodium lauryl sulphate which is a known causer of eczema they went on to say the shampoo wasn't even safe for babies. I now use bicarbonate of soda which is working well and reducing my eczema.

Can't believe a health professional would recommend anything by Johnsons for eczema!!!! I wouldn't let that stuff near my children!

Ditto what freefrommum said it's just chemicals in fancy packaging! Don't know if what we use is much better but it does have the national eczema society logo on it Infaderm can get it from large boots and some supermarkets in the baby section. Neither if my kids have a problem with it.

I don't use any shampoo on my DS and never have. We just wash his hair in his bath water which contains a squirt of Dermol 600. Amazingly his hair is never greasy.
