Hi all, wanted to share my ds good news. Went to hospital today for milk challenge & he was fine - no reaction at all. He drank the milk thanks to the nurse putting strawberry nesquik in it! So we now have to continue to offer dairy every day. Fingers crossed & I hope this offers you all some hope that your dc time will come to!

Congratulations!! It's really good to hear good stories, so thanks for sharing and hope your DS continues to do well.

Take care :)

Brilliant news! I was also going to ask how old he is but babybarrister beat me to it Grin

Clara35 · 01/03/2012 19:44

Thanks everyone. He will be 4 in may. Consultant always said he would be near school age before we saw improvement so he was near enough in his prediction. No sign of egg going yet but we are going the right direction. Can't wait to be reading the same good news for all of your dc.

DD is egg allergic but cleared a patch test at the weekend and had normal pasta today .. so far so goods. Sooooo hope she is lucky enough to be one that grows out of her allergies. Good luck too all, its a very hard road.

On another note and at the risk of being shot at, did the aibu thread on the allergy board get taken down.... Seems to have gone ....

eragon · 12/03/2012 22:44

thats such good news! and a big change in food choice!

(my lad passed sunflower last week. but that hasnt changed life at all really!)

mumat39 · 13/03/2012 00:36

Eragon, really pleased to hear that your DS passed the sunflower challenge. Even if it's not life changing, it's still one food less to have to worry about so it's still another good story. :)

Likeaninjanow · 13/03/2012 07:31

Congratulations! It's so great to read some good news on these boards Smile

babybarrister that kind of sums it up really doesn't it? I think you should stop reading AIBU. I never go near it as it's full of idiots. To be honest, 9 times out of 10 if you have to ask 'am I being unreasonable?' then you probably are. Just stick to the allergies board, we're all so much nicer Grin

Great news Clara, what a huge relief. Milk and dairy opens up so many food options now for your DS, especially cheese! I hope he's still doing ok.

And eragon, good to hear about the sunflower. You can use sunflower oil and pure sunflower spread now!

youarekidding · 20/03/2012 22:18

clara Hey great news Grin Really pleased for you and DS.

Here we are having coeliacs blood test next week so may be adding gluten to the already list of unknowns Smile

BB sounds about right!!

youarekidding · 20/03/2012 22:18

Oh sorry wasn't really the place to moan Blush

ChocaMum · 20/03/2012 22:24

You can always moan here, somwhere where we all understand. I hope you don't have to add wheat and gluten to your list though.

youarekidding · 20/03/2012 22:34

there isn't a list!! They actually have no idea what he's allergic too - except ketchup. He's a tricky little bugger is DS!

I know I can moan here thats why I love it but this is a happy thread Grin

ChocaMum · 20/03/2012 22:49

Oh yes I remember now :( Sorry but postnatal brain has forgotten everything! Well to keep things happy, no list is a short list! Grin
