My DS has some form of gluten and dairy intolerance, but to date this has only ever manifested as digestion problems, and small excema patches.
Yesterday we had our first immediate skin reaction (have previously had immediate vomiting, but no skin reasctions). He had eaten porridge made with goats milk (which he has almost every day), and some Tesco brand rice crispies with goats milk. He has had the rice crispies before, but hasn't had cold 'uncooked' goats milk in a while. I can't think what else could have caused the reaction.
He had breakfast at about 8.30am, and had quite a widespread urticarial (sp?) rash by 9.30am (may have come up sooner, but I didn't notice until I changed his nappy). It started down his sides under his arms, but spread to his arms, chest, back and groin. By 2pm it had appeared on his face as well. We gave him some piriton syrup at about 3pm as it was continuing to spread, and it was all gone by bed time.
Just wondering if anybody else has a problem with uncooked milk, but is fine with heated milk? I'm hoping that this change in reation will mean that something will show up on the RAST tests that he has just had.
