and you eat some dairy (after previously cutting it out), what symptoms does your dc show and how long do they last? I had a bit of dairy on Friday and have had no sleep from 7mth old ds since. He is teething so it may be that and just a coincidence.

What have I done?!

Ds got stomach cramps and was very unsettled. Colic. Fractious. clingy. Duration an severity depended on quantity and type. eg bit of milk in chocolate ok, little bit of cheese yep ok reaction, piece of cheese cake/ ice cream pudding - yep we knew about it.

Typically symptom free within 72 hours ish.

However, teething symptoms in ds were pretty much as both but with out the cramps and colic.

Right now I am going to offer this advice. Don't blame yourself. Don't take yourself down a guilt trip. Bare in mind a lot of children don't sleep when teeth which is a right royal pain in the bum. Any severe reaction would have been seen already so no real harm done. Be careful in future but either he will settle down in the next day or so, or he will continue to be a nightmare and it will be his teeth. IMO.

Be kind to yourself sleep deprivation makes the smallest thing seem huge! bitter voice of experience

Thank you, its really trying. He is thought to be allergic to cmp and soya so I dont eat either. Not sure how long I can keep it up though, as veggie too and not got on with eating meat again, despite trying to.

I had some cake so I cant imagine it had much effect, half of someone else's muffin to be precise (I was starving!)

thank you for help, I think it is probably teething then.
