Edible gifts for staff to share at a nut-free nursery

I don't want to open a debate about the rights and wrongs of the nursery being nut free or offend anyone, but I thought this might be a reasonable place to ask.

The nursery is a "nut-free zone". Could anyone suggest what boxes of chocolates I can give the staff to share? I am not sure if they just have to not include nuts in the ingredients or have to be to a higher nut free standard.

Thanks!

Why not ask the manager/owner on the quiet?

Or go for a basket of small individual smellies they can all share maybe? A large dispenser of nice handcream for the staffroom is always appreciated too!

I'm sure there'll be other suggestions.

I have a personal aversion to smellies and I did ask and was told - "they like chocolates and biscuits but please make sure they are nut free". I have spent quite a while looking at the back of packets in Tesco, but I am now quite confused.

It is confusing isn't it?

SO many things are technically nut free but have the warning that they are made in factories that may have nuts packaged near them.

I'm after something the office staff and kitchen staff can share - I doubt that they are allowed to drink on site.
