Paed says dd,s RAST tests show that she,s doesnt have allergies to dairy etc and to put her back on dairy, he hasnt told me how to go about doing it though does anyone have any tips?

BTW i think she,s still intolerant because i gave her some yoghurt and her nose started running immediately.........

i'd do it slowly, RAST tests show allergies not intolences i think.

dd2 had intolerences to gluten and eggs as a baby and other 'fillers' and she would throw up if she had them, i was told they wouldnt be able to test for intolerences.

hope things are ok.

Hmmm, I am not sure, but would reintroduce any suspect food slowly. I am still waiting for ds's RAST results, so am not sure what to expect.

How old is your dd?

jenk1 · 06/01/2006 20:13

shes 21 months old

Maybe it isn't that your dd isn't allergic, ut I have heard that RAST tests are 100% relaible in the under 2's. That is part of the reason why I am almost dreading ds's results, he's only 18 months.

Sorry to hear that jenk. DS is having them done next week (were you told that you didn't have to expose them to the foods just before the tests?). I'm expecting the same results TBH. I definitely don't think he has a dairy allergy, just an intolerance, although I hope/expect the gluten tests to show up something, as this really upsets him.

No doubt we'll get the results at the next paed appt (Feb I think), but we can't get an appt with a dietician until April!
