Travelling with an epipen - creche on skiing holiday safe?

So I am entering a whole new world with a child who's got an epipen for a peanut allergy. She's allergic to egg too but I am hoping that that allergy isn't severe (she's never eaten egg so God only knows).

We're going skiing in February and she was supposed to go to ski kindergarten but I am not sure I trust them to keep her safe. Her big sister is going though and I don't want DD2 to feel left out.

Should have added - most kids have lunch at the ski kindergarten but they did say DDs could bring a lunchbox. I don't know what their policy is on nuts etc though as this is Austria and I don't think they do nut free zones there.

Knowing the continental general attitudes to vegetarianism (a different issue I know) and health and safety, I have to say I wouldn't risk it. Heard a horror story recently about a friend's severly nut-allergic child being given Crunchy Nut Clusters cereal, having been promised the premises were totally nut-free... If there isn't a general culture of awareness and such issues being taken seriously, IMHO you can't rely on the conscientiousness and alertness of the individuals concerned on the day...

Sorry v bad form - I started this threat and then totally forgot to check back - got distracted by DD getting croup. Thanks both for your replies. Grandma is coming along on skiing hols too and has offered to babysit, but it feels wrong for DD2 to feel left out when DD1 is going to kindergarten and learning how to ski. I think I'll have to go with my gut instinct?

I do - am German but have lived in the UK since before children, don't go 'home' much and have no idea how Germans/Austrians approach things like allergies!

Could they go to kindergarten but grandma turn up for meal times?

I have considered that - send her in the morning, then ask grandma to take her out and give her lunch, maybe let her attend the afternoon session after lunch. I do need to know though that they won't allow the other children to smuggle in chocolates in their pockets... and that's difficult!
