Yipee!! I took ds to see a paed consultant today. Admittedly it was a private appt, but I only had to wait 2 weeks as opposed to months for the same thing. I told him all about ds's reactions with photographic evidence He said that it was very helpful and can tell without testnig that he has a definate milk &
egg allergy. He did say that he is going to order blood tests for ds to test for other food allergies (nuts, fish, wheat etc as well as a FBC etc). I know these aren't exactly reliable in a near 18 month old, but it's better than nothing. They couldn't get us in today, but we go back on monday for the bloods to be done. We should get the results after xmas, possibly
early new year. He is confident that with very
careful management that he can outgrow these
allergies. Here's hoping!

The other thing he said was that I shouldn't worry about the fact that ds has been having several mushy, stinky, mucousy nappies for the last 4 weeks. He thinks that because ds is happy & active that he is doing ok. I guess I will wait and see on this.
