Red mouth & skin on contact with milk and other dairy products

Hi,
my 1yr old girl doesn't like dairy products. on the rare occasions she takes some her mouth goes red instantly. no pain, just redness.
tried soy milk, didn't like that either.
it was OK before, she got her milk from her mother grin
now we're expecting a brother/sister for her. hardly any milk produced by me now. really, really worried how to get her some much needed calcium and proteins now.
any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
PS: my fussy eater doesn't eat egg too... only in her meals i can mix some.
thanks

I would get yourself to the Dr, or speak to your HV at least. My DD has a milk allergy and there is a lot they can do. She has her milk prescribed and is under a dietician.

If you suspect it, may be worth going dairy free yourself as these things are genetic on occasion.

But I would urge you to speak to a health professional ASAP.

HTH and good luck.

thanks munkii.
GP wanted us to try soy milk first, which did not work.
we should offer another visit for the next step as your suggestion i guess...

Soya allergies are often associated with dairy allergies so soya milk may not be a good solution.

Nutramigen and Neocate are the formulas that are prescribed for milk allergies.

Good luck.
