RAST Results - understanding

I just received the RAST results for DS (2.5 yo) which were 13 for cat, 7 for dog and 0.4 for whole egg. Strangely, the only reaction I have ever noticed is for egg (although maybe dog, as the two are often in the same place at the same time in my world).
I was hoping someone could explain - cat and dog are level 3, which is "High". Is that serious? Should I avoid them? We have a cat - which may account for onoing moderate eczema (? yes? no?) but I have never noticed a facial swell/ eyes/ drowsiness reaction like he does to some forms of egg from the cat.
I guess the question is how worried should I be? I might request an egg challenge as I am unconvinced on that score, but what about the animals?
