Recipe for breadmaker - wheat /gluten / dairy / egg free?

Hi
Does anyone have a recipe for breadmaker (I have borrowed MIL's Panasonic) that is wheat / gluten / dairy / egg free? I want to try and come up with some for my 10 mo DD's snacks at nursery - the other children all have some marmite sandwiches. First attempt using Doves Farm flour / water / oil and yeast was a disaster!!! All recipes I can find have dried milk and / or egg in them (as do brands like Genius).

I have her Nutramigen formula which I can substitute for milk and could give egg replacer a try... but any tips and advice welcome

Thank you thank you

I have zero experience of this Angeoxford, but the breadmaker book I have recommends Juvela flour & uses a wholewheat setting for all GF recipes. The basic white loaf is:
300ml water
1 tbsp oil
350g juvela GF mix
1 tsp of the yeast that comes with th juvela flour

How does that compare with your Doves Farm attempt?

Thanks JetLi. Unfortunately juvela and other such gf mixes have skimmed milk powder :(. I'm wondering what others w dairy / egg / wheat allergic LOs do..... I was excited about the 'genius' brand til I looked in detail and found dried egg.....

Can't help with a recipe I'm afraid but Dietary Specials white ciabatta rolls are wheat, egg and milk free and are the closest to 'real' bread rolls I've found - both my kids love them with some Vitalite or Pure spread and ham or tuna with free-from mayo. Best thing is, no need to 'refresh', just eat straight from the bag. Be aware they are a bit denser than normal bread so I usually cut a bit of the middle out for my 3 yr old as he struggles to finish it otherwise. You can buy them in Asda and Morrisons. I think some other breads in the Dietary Specials (DS) range are also free from all of the above too. As you said, most wheat free breads contain egg white which is a real nuisance so I was very relieved to discover these.

Brilliant freefrommum thank you! I will find out if other DS products are dairy / egg free too

yestheyareallmine what flour mix do you use, please? I've been making gluten/egg/dairy free bread for years in the oven but am thinking of getting a breadmaker for my son to use at University.

Angeoxford - glad it's working for you - are you using Dove's farm bread flour?

Angeoxford · 30/05/2011 19:43

Yep doves farm gluten free wheat free strong White bread flour. Good luck!

Hello

I know this is an oldish thread, but could someone help me with the recipe by yestheyareallmine, please?

How do I measure non liquids like sugar and yeast in ML? I'd like to try this recipe as the ones in the leaflet that came with the breadmaker all use eggs which I can't have, and this recipe looks nice and easy so I'm hoping I can manage it successfully.

Are there any other replacements for eggs in recipes, if I wanted to try some of the ones that came with the beradmaker?

Also, is there any difference in using lemon juice or cider vinegar? I have cider vinegar in the house, and most of the recipes i've seen suggest cider vinegar but I'm not sure what that adds to the recipe so was wondering if anyone can shed light on the science bit of this? Can I use cider vinegar instead of lemon juice?

TIA
