Hayfever started early?

Hi all. I've suffered with severe hayfever all my life which ruins every summer. Thankfully it is only grass that causes it from end of May to mid July. The only times I have been hayfever free were when I spent a summer in Chicago when I was 18 (must be different grass there!) & when pregnant with ds1.

This year, the tell-tale symptom started at beginning of April - 2 months early Shock!!! I'm totally blocked up or else sneezing & my eyes are awful - itchy, runny & so swollen in the morning I can hardly open them. Antihistamines & nasal sprays never have much effect.

Is anyone else experiencing hayfever super eay this year? Is it because of this beautiful weather? It. Is so annoying as I usually really enjoy spring & spend lots of time gardening in preparation for having to stay indoors more in June/July!

Sad The season has started very early this year for tree pollen. I get an injection usually in feb but was advised that it was prob a bit late this year.
I also have found a local honey supplier [cottage industry type thing] and eat that which is supposed to build up an immunity if it is grass pollen that is the cause.

Me Sad. I feel wretched and my eyes are like red slits a la Voldemort, so itchy I could scratch them out. Some years I suffer worse than others

My mum is sending me some Piriton eye drops. Has anyone tried them?
