You could try "popping" your ears i.e. Hold your nose and blow down your nose.
Or try a steam inhalation: sit with your face over a bowl of freshly boiled water & a towel over head & bowl.
Hope you feel better soon.

Hi I get bad ear ache and the only slight relief I get is from heat. Either place a hot water bottle under your ear or if u haven't got one then heat a towel ?on radiator or something and place that under it. Help while waiting for painrelief to kick in.

Thanks iyra41 and folio for ur advice , been to see doc today, I've got a sinus infection again, she said my ears seem clear, she's put me on a course of antibiotics, I really didn't know sinuses could cause such bad ear pain .

I have had a sinus infection for the last 4 weeks and ended up having to take a second course of Antibiotics so you may have to go back to the Dr and ask for a repeat.
Mine is mostly relieved but still comes and goes, I find if it is really bad taking sudafed and inhaling decongestant stuff followed by a hot shower is a relief.
I have also been known to sit with a heat pack wrapped around my head and covering both ears is soothing.
Definately go back to the Doc and tell them about the buzzing noise and the other ear symptoms, sounds as though you may need another dose.
Good Luck Smile

Yes that is how I feel and my face feels like I have been punched on both sides too. Sad
I can feel mine starting to ache again now, I really hope it dosnt come back.
It is coming into Autumn here now so pollens and stuff should all be dissapearing.
I am looking forward to the break from it all.
Hope you feel better soon

Hi mummy2lz, yes it can be so painful I have that feeling in my face also, I have woke up today so congested an my ear was leaking still feels sore, I live in the uk so are pollen early, were early spring here, I think I might be suffering from allergic rhinititis because I seem to suffer in autumn and slightly in winter.
I hope you also start to feel better soon :)
