Hi there, we have had quite a rough 5 weeks or so and now returning to work has made me question things more.5mo DS has eczema that seems to have got more severe over this period and is awful once put to bed at night. Once in bed will settle initially then constantly waking, crying & irritable. He used to go 7-11 then 11-7 only waking now and again needing to be re-settled. He also seems to be passing wind lots and drawing his knees up. (DS is formula fed - aptimil first)

Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Do you think it could be an allergy/intolerence?

Any ideas greatly appreciated, the sleep deprivation is getting to me :(

Good idea to speak to your GP or HV about lactose intolerance, my DD was put on a lactose free formula to help with the colicy stomach and eczema/asthma. Always worth a try

Please try using another soap powder.. without any smells as it seems it could be the bedclothes causing this .. wash all clothes in say Surecare from any big supermarket and dont use fabric conditoner unless by the same make.. as these are very dangerous for all.. not just allergy sufferers.. dont use oils or lotions either on the wee one.. as they dont need them.. and they carry more problems.. if you really need creams use Simple but Id go without to see if it clears up... I wish doctors would wake up and start to tell patients about perfumes and all these things not required on any babys skin.. Why has the allergy levels now gone through the roof I wonder... could it be that all these fancy lotions and potions werent around years ago.. and watch for your own perfumes.. too near the wee one.. Dont use anyting in the bath except for a little say Simple soap.. even good makes baby soap have perfumes.. good luck...
