ds2 has always come out in a rash when he's gone near mil's german shepherd dogs, like a nettle rash. so, assuming he's allergic to them i have kept him mostly away. But, he doesn't have this problem with anyone elses dogs!
ds1 who spends alot of time with these dogs is usually fine, until today and he's got the same spots as ds2!
Now, i may be a snob but in my opinion her house is manky...could it be something to do with this?
ahe has 4 dogs!

what could cause this?

and i don't mean it's manky because she has dogs, it's bcause she never cleans up.

I'm allergic to dogs, but some are much worse than others. (My mum's grrrrrr!)

My allergies go into orbit at my mum's and even my dh (who's not normally allergic to stuff) gets a terrible reaction. I do think it's exacerbated by the sheer amount of dust in her house.

Her dog (a big, woolly, moulting springer spaniel) is particuarly bad and I even get a reaction to him in my house, but dh doesn't.

None of my kids is affected thank goodness so I feel for you.

fleas? worms? Mice droppings? Doesn't have to be the dogs could be the house unless they get the rash when seeing them outside the house, in which case probably fleas

my ds is fine with our dog. Only other dog he has come in to contact with licked him on face and caused severe hives in that location. Check afterwards showed egg in dog biscuits (ds is allergic). Also know that some dog biscuits contain peanut butter.

Not sure but, we have dogs and DS is fine with them as long as he doesn't decide to lie in the dogs' bed (why he loves to do that, I will never understand). However, the other day we went to visit some friends who have 2 german shepherds and DS ended up with an asthma attack even when he didn't touch them . The house was very clean (they are the minimalist type) but as far as I know, pet dander (or the protein in it) is very difficult to remove from textiles, on top of that, I later found out that GS and Spaniels are particularly "allegenic".
