Eczema HELP - desperate!

Our 6 month old developed eczema when he was 2 weeks old and has recently been diagnosed with a milk allergy by Cons. Derm. Despite cutting out dairy ( I'm still bf) his skin still flares up regularly. We use epaderm but his face and wrists are always really dry. We have to use mod strength steriods every few days. I'm wondering if anyone can recommed other moisturisers??

We've been prescribed nutramigen but he refuses to take it (not sure if problem is formula or bottle). Should I keep trying - does anyone know if moving onto formula rather than bf helps?

you might need a referral to a dietician to get to the bottom of the formula thing, there are prescription formulas that could help if there's an intolerance involved.

Hope that helps a bit. x

Hi dont know if these will help but my sons eczema first popped out when he was 4 weeks old he looked like he had side burns as it came on that part of his face.he is 5 now but i have always bathed and washed him in oilatum bath instead of johnsons we use oilatum cream at least 2-4 times a day as although he hardly ever has flare ups he is always dry and also emollient cream. Also some washing powders can effect my son.hope this helps the bath wash is really great although my son misses his bubble bath he can see this makes his skin feel softer and he can even use it to wash in the shower with.
