Neocate Banana and vanilla flavour

Please help
does neocate banana and vanilla flavour contain Milk?
My dietician told me today that it has milk protein in it and that it is broken down so that its easier to digest?
This is the same dietician that told me that Heinz baked means contained milk - I then checked with heinz - who assured me that they didnt - I then mentioned this back to the dietician who then denied saying about the beans.
Do I trust this dietician?
When my DD was first given neocate i was told that it had no milk or soya in it?
Thank you for any help xx

I've never heard of Neocate banana and vanilla as my on was on Neocate 9 years ago.

I may be wrong but seem to remember that it contains cows milk BUT the protein has been hydrolysed to change the properties so a reaction to cows milk protein couldn't happen.

Can anyone else confirm this?

FORGET THAT!!!

Sorry I've just looked on the Neocate website, it is suitable for babies who are allergic to the hydrolysed protein found in other infant formulas.

I must be remembering another allergy as DS was tried on several in hosp before they let him home on that one.

Sorry again but from that I'd conclude that it doesn't contain milk.

As Clarie says Neocate is dairy-free.
It's to do with the proteins being made very simplistic so it is easy to digest.

There's another one called Neur-something-or-other ( can't recall the name) and that I think has lactose in. But Neocate is the dairy-free one.

And baked beans are dairy-free.

I would ask for another dietician.....

How are you getting on with the Neocate and dairy-free ?

If you need a hand give me a shout. I am no expert but my 2 yr old has a varied dairy-free diet - I am finding my way round the foods. It was daunting at first.

Hi,

As already mentioned your dietitian is incorrect. I am happy to confirm that all the Neocate products are milk free. They do not contain milk proteins or hydrolsed milk proteins. It also does not contain soy or lactose.

I hope this puts your mind at ease, if you have anyother Neocate related questions feel free to ask:
