Rash on Face and Hands

Help !

Our poor little baby (1 year and a bit )has hives on his face hands and feet. It started yesterday afternoon and is worse this morning.

He has reacted like this to eggs before but not so strongly and it cleared up quickly.

He has been quite poorly recently from the vomiting bug and then a cold (he is still coughing), consequently he is hardly eating anything . What he has eaten are all things he has eaten in the past with no problems.

At about 6 months his whole face swelled up but the doctors didn't know why.

What can it be ?????

Sorry to say it could be anything.Ds1 suffered like this and when he was a baby we could never pinpoint anything causing it.The GP said that something that doesnt cause a problem one week might the next. When he was older we did realise that new mown grass bought him out in terrible hives, not great when playing football was his first love and now he,s 22 new mown grass is still causinf him a problem.

Hope things settle soon .

Could it be hand foot and mouth? Is it a rash or spots?

How is he today - is he eating better, or is he sick still?

PaWithABra · 19/12/2010 10:13

it's hands, feet, mouth, back and bum.

It's a rash, not spots.

he seems well enough but still wont eat anything except breast milk.

poor thing looks such a mess

Take photos.

If he is still bad tomorrow, take him to the GP.

PaWithABra · 20/12/2010 23:45

well it was bad tomorow, he was taken to GP
who sent him to hospital who carried out a load of test and will keep him in foe a few days observation while they wait for results

it seems that suspect(ed) minigitis cause the hives starting turning purple .

Initial blood analysis would seem to indicate it is more likely viral.

BUT FUCKIN HELL ...

just fuck

what a worrying day

He seemed a lot chirier when i lft him (them) in the hozzy

fuck
