My ds had a reaction to egg when he tried it 3 months ago, blotchy round his mouth and upset tummy. No swelling or difficulty breathing. Can he have egg pasta? Asked my dp to get littlepasta for him and he came back with egg pasta. Just don't know how eggy it is. Will it be ok or not worth the risk? Thank you.

No, I would not give it to your Ds. My Ds also allergic to egg, and eating this would cause him a reaction. I would not take the risk as sometimes reactions become worse with each exposure to allergen.

Ok thanks, will not risk it.

Difficult one, my DS also has an egg allergy, had head to foot urticaria (nettle rash), swollen ears when he ate scrambled egg BUT he can tolerate, cake, biscuits, pancakes and egg pasta.

It depends really my son has egg allegy to eggs in any form but lots of people can tolerate in cakes etc, if he hasnt been tested might be worth getting this done.
If not you can try a small amount and watch the reaction-be ready with the piroten!

As for growing out of egg allegy this will generally happen after the age of 8 if its going to.

in regards to skin prick testing i think this is relaiable, and a food challenge is not normally undetaken unless the allergy has improved in the severity.
