Neocate Active

I have 4 boxes of Neocate Active (unflavoured sachets) to give away if anyone wants them. I can only offer for collection from SW London though.

My little one no longer is on Neocate as he can take soya formula now. You can message me if interested.

Hello Exhausted. DS was also intolerant to soya but went to hospital for a soya challenge and all was OK so we gradually introduced soya formula, mixing it with Neocate LCP over several months until he was having entirely soya formula (never progressed on to the neocate active)

He hasn't been constipated with it. I am not surprised they want to wean off Neocate as 1) it is very expensive and 2) the body has to work less hard to digest and process it.

If you LO can handle soya then I would suggest you gradually introduce for a time to get the body used to it.

I was more to do with me having about 4 or 5 tins of Neocate LCP so I did it very slowly to use them up!

Hi

What exactly was the soya challenge in hosp out of interest?? Smile

I also have sachets of neocate active I am willing to post....

DD could not tolerate neocate active and was put back on neocate LCP.

Basically getting lo to have varying amount of soya in a controlled environment (ie hospital) so if there was a reaction then action could be taken immediately. They started by putting a little on his arm and waiting 20 mins to observe any reaction, then on his lip and again waiting 20 minutes, then he had to drink 5ml, 10ml 50ml and 150ml with 20 minute intervals between each. In the end I gave up on soya milk as he wouldn't drink it but gave him soya yoghurt instead. We then had to wait 2 hrs to see if any reaction occured. As there was no reaction he "passed" the challenge and since then I have gradually introduced soya to his diet.
