Terrifying. DS is 7. He's tree nut and kiwi allergic and idiopathically allergic (i.e. triggers himselves - or at least that's what they say as they can't explain many of his anaphylactic reactions).

He's at a close friends - he's the only one invited (birthday treat) it should be fine but I've that terrible panic of trusting it all to be OK AND, it's his first sleep over!! Oh to be a normal parent!
Sorry - total grumble - just feeling lonely with this one ...

How did it go? Fine, I'm sure :)

I totally relate to that thing of wanting to be a normal parent sometimes, but it's great that you're letting him go and finding a way to manage it. My 6yo dairy allergic DS had his first sleepover a few months ago, and it was a big deal for me too... but thank God for close and trusted friends!!

Totally understand your worry. I'm dreading my dds being old enough to actually leave somewhere without me/dad/nursery staff/grandparent.

But well done you for letting him!

It was fine!!! I'm more worn out than he is - another milestone - hurrah!
