I posted last week about my 6 month old DD having a CMP allergy. We have now been prescribed Nutramigen to use when I am out and not able to BF. We are going out on Saturday for our wedding anniversary, so I thought I had better get her used to the formula before we go. I read all the info on MN and on the formula company's website and it all suggested that it was horrible and that it would need to be mixed with EBM etc (just the smell made me gag), but to my great surprise she has taken it 'neat' every time. Fantastic but by all accounts a bit weird!!!
Anyway, she has not reacted to bread as yet (she has had a little as part of BLW) and might try her with Soya stuff this week so hopefully she will only have a CMP allergy. Feel a lot more positive about everything now, but do think that her reaction to the formula has made me feel much better, I love BF but glad that I do have the option to go out now.
