well call social services cos i too am morbidly obese and BMI is over 40! ridiculous. I am active, my children are well cared for, the only times ive been in hospital are to have my babies and i rarely visit the docs for illness (last year might have been twice!)

I have heard of this a lot, adopters being turned down because of health problems or potential ones. I understand the problems with obesity related illness and life expectancy and the needs of these children for permanency but are social services in any position to be choosy when there are so many children waiting for families? You don't get permanency living with a foster family all your life either.

if they want a baby or very young child then social \services wont be as lenient.there are too many white couples wanting babys. if they wanted an older child or one with special needs they would have a chance with most la.
