Asking if anyone has experience of getting hold of these?
I was adopted by my maternal grandparents when I was 2 (in the 60s) and always knew my mother was my mother etc, was alienated sadly from my father who I only met at my request when I was 21.
There are many versions of the story as to why I was adopted and I would like to know the truth from the adoption hearing files. I asked the court but was told they were highly sensitive (as all adoption papers are) and that I should contact an adoption support agency.
I'm not sure what the next steps are to hopefully access these papers - when I look online for a suitable agency, help offered seems to be around supporting adoptees in contacting birth parents, which obviously does not apply to me.
