Hoping someone can help

Son placed for adoption in 2013, adoption order was granted in 2014.

I was told early days that once adoption order was granted I could access his full medical records. I tried a few times and got nowhere....

A few years down the line and I am starting to tiptoe into life story work.....I really need to know details of hospital admissions in his early years when he was seen for physical abuse in hospital and doctor surgery etc

I have his new and old NHS numbers.

Help!!!!

Thanks

Morning! Social care and previous foster Carers ( hopefully) would have received copies of his initial and review health assessments while he was a child in care, they usually detail that kind of information. Also the pre adoption medical report would have info but probably not details of hospital admissions unless they were really significant. It's so tricky isn't it as that info is so, so important as part of life journey work.

GP will have or should have all records. Just viewed and received all History from GP cost £50. Was no problem but took month's, fills in the gaps. Think reasons for delays is more for fear of Litigation (legal) fear's , from LA's. Police, and NHS which in our situation was not the issue but may be when records are digested and read , so is always a possibility. That past history in the interest of the child may have too be perused for long term support the child should be entitled too which otherwise would have been , subject too now having concrete evidence of institutional failings. Not evident in our case.
