DD had her first morning at school today Grin
Fluttery heart Mum came home, drank tea, tried to clear up, went back for her.
She has initiated a lot of hugs since coming home but it sounds like she enjoyed it.

There are some really good adoption face book groups which are closed so no one can see from your social group what you are posting and we all appreciate what you are going through, every little triumph is acknowledged. You can post photos and can be completely private.

Hurrah for LittleJules! I'm lucky that I don't feel constrained so post with regular emotional text on FB.

But you can always post here at least - we always know where you're coming from.

Glad it went well for you her

Day 3, she got herself dressed Grin I had to put an extra arm into a sleeve and her pinafore was inside-out, but, you know, it was only 7.10am!
DH then discovered just in time that she had put her pants on over her nighttime nappy. She nearly made it out of the door with it. Good catch!

Good catch indeed. 😀

Just a little suggestion. If you can't put it on Fb etc why not set up an email for your DD and email to her on days like today so that in years to come she will be able to read it?

It might be nice as an adult for her to look back and read how nervous proud etc you were

ChoccyJules · 19/09/2017 19:55

Hello OurMiracle, I tend to worry that emails can be potentially insecure like the web. But I thought about what you suggested and I have started writing little notes on nice paper, which I will stick into a book for her. For example I wrote one about her starting swimming lessons and how she enjoyed it etc.

It's a really lovely idea, our Miracle. I'm going to try to do something similar, maybe with a photo book.
