Starting Adoption - Facilities for children and families in Colchester, Essex

Hi all! Hope you are well and enjoying what is left of summer! :) I have begun the adoption process and was wondering if any local parents or families knew what facilities there are for young kids (say age 2 upwards) in Colchester? I don't have kids yet so don't really know what is around! For example toddler clubs, play centres, etc. Any help gratefully received :)

I'm not in Colchester but a quick google on colchester playgroups brings a few things up.
At that age, Toddler/Preschooler, you'll find there are classes on Saturdays for things like Mini football, ballet (tends to start 2 and a half) etc. In the week there'll be play groups run in churches (they're rarely plugging religion) and halls. Then there are things like JoJingles - music for babies - and mini gym classes. (Think a fiver a go) Not forgetting mum and toddler swim classes. (More like a tenner) Most stuff tends to be in the morning so the afternoons can stretch.
The big shock is everything stops in the school holidays (cos they are mostly run by mums with school kids) and they can feel like tumbleweed hell.

There is Go Bananas which is near The Range, also JumpStreet for 4 years plus opposite Go Bananas but they do toddler sessions too during term time. There is also another indoor play area near Wickes but can't think of the name. There is also the zoo obviously. I live half hour from Colchester so not sure on toddler groups, sorry.

Your PAR will also cover hospitals and parks etc near you, so with researching all that too
