Adoption

Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on adoption.

My best friend at school was adopted and I would love to be able to contact her and see if she is okay.

I know her birthday, her name - but not if it was her given name at birth or her adoptive name. Her address when we were last in touch and her brother's name. I found 2 addresses but one ignored my note and one said she wasn't my friend and appeared freaked out a bit as to how I had got her address Sad. TBH I wouldn't be shocked if she was dead but have no idea how to find out if that is the case. I have worried about her a lot over the years.

I'm confused. Was she adopted as an older child then?

I think she was adopted as a baby but I am not sure of the age. It wasn't a happy home for her though Sad.

Try the electoral roll for the area maybe?

No free results will mean you have to pay to access any results it found. However do be aware that people can take themselves off the public roll.

Okay thank you.
