You may have read in the press recently about the latest statistics
regarding the adoption system in this country: The number of children in
care finding adoptive families has reached the lowest level in 10 years, and
in spite of new guidelines issued by the government earlier this year, the
situation is not improving.
Adoption with Humanity is campaigning for changes which will be permanent
and far reaching, and will prioritise the best interests of children in
care. We are petitioning the government to set up a National Adoption
Authority to bring together all elements of the adoption system and to be
governed by a mixed representative body to ensure best practice is enforced.
We strongly believe this is the only way to fix our broken adoption system.

If we get 100,000 signatures then it will be eligible for debate in the
House of Commons. It worked for Joanna Lumley and the Gurkha Justice
Campaign. And if we get 100,000 signatures then we are a big step closer to
achieving our goal: A National Adoption Authority and an improved adoption
system for the children in care in this country.
