British Federation of Women Graduates - any experience?

I found this organisation via a thread on FWG about women's history - looks like they might be the successor organisation that Edith Anne Stoney was part of:

BFWG - The British Federation of Women Graduates.

I can't find a massive amount about them online, other than their own website. Does anyone have any experience? And if so, what are the pros and cons of joining a local association (if one is going to join) rather than an independent?

I am half tempted to submit an abstract for their research presentations day, as I get into the last lap of my PhD...

BFWG - The British Federation of Women Graduates

The BFWG is a diverse organisation aiming to be the voice of women graduates in England and Wales. It is part of a large International Graduate community that promotes the necessity of providing education for women and girls everywhere.
