i have 2 children approaching secondary school age and I’m looking for recommendations of secondary schools in the antrim area that would be good for them. One has ASD but is quite academic the other has ASD, adhd, dyslexia and would be about 3 years behind in learning ability. So wanting a school that has good ASD approach, has good reputation in general, special provision for the one with learning difficulties but also offers further education a-levels/vocational courses etc and good academic opportunities for the other one. And the same as we all want no bullying and that children are happy and supported. The 5 that are closest with special provision are - Parkhall integrated, integrated college glengormley, abbey community college, dunclug college and Ballyclare secondary school. There may be others that have good SEN support just not special provision. Any advice welcomed.

Hi OP. You’ve posted on academic common room which is for people working in universities. We’re unlikely to be able to help with your question. Best to post in education or the SeN board.

You could also try post in Craicnet if you haven't @Strawberryproud , it covers both sides of the border and there's plenty of NI posters. You might get lucky.
